

Shelia Fay Seals Trent, age 50, of New Tazewell, TN was born on April 19, 1969, and passed away February 25, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Shelia was born to Jack and Wilma Seals. She professed faith in Christ at a young age and joined Seals Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to Seal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Then, Shelia moved her membership to Midway Baptist Church and remained a faithful member till her death.
Shelia married Reverend Kenny Trent on September 15, 1990. They have two daughters, their greatest gifts from God, Caroline Faith and Clarissa Hope. Shelia worked for the Claiborne County school system for several years as a counselor. She also worked at Heritage Christian Academy as a third grade and kindergarten teacher. Shelia was a strong advocate for the children and families she served. She was a great mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend and will be missed by so many.
Shelia is preceded in death by her father, Jack Seals; father-in-law, Kenneth Trent; grandparents, Tom and Vadar Seals and Reverend Robert and Bonnie Smith; uncles, Dallas Smith, Tom Seals Jr., Clifford Reece, and Larry Seals; aunt Bobbie Manning and husband, Joe; cousins Allan Reece, Danny Manning, and Gregory Smith and wife, Kim.
Shelia is survived by her husband of 29 years, Reverend Kenny Trent of New Tazewell, TN; daughters, her pride and joy, Caroline Long and husband, Cody and Clarissa Trent of New Tazewell, TN; mother Wilma Seals of Tazewell, TN; brother Reverend David Seals and wife, Jennifer of Jacksboro, TN; sister Karen Stansberry and husband, Chad of Tazewell, TN; mother-in-law Wanda Trent of New Tazewell, TN; sister-in-law Debbie King and husband, Tim of Johnson City, TN; Cody's parents Dale and Penny Long and Cody's sister Kiely Long of New Tazewell, TN; nieces Heather King of Johnson City, TN, Lacy Morton and husband, Dustin of Sevierville, TN, Cassie King and fiancé, Jordan Taylor of Johnson City, TN, Hailey Isner and Jenna Seiber of Jacksboro, TN; nephews Eli Seals and wife, Alyssa of Suffolk, VA, and Nathan Seals of Jacksboro, TN; great niece and nephew Isabella and Branson Morton of Sevierville, TN; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at 7:00 P.M. Thursday February 27, 2020 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Fairview Cemetery.
