Sherman Hatfield

Sherman was born March 20, 1934 and passed away on November 11, 2021.

He was of the Baptist Faith and belonged to Mount Gilead Baptist Church. He retired after 30 years with General Motors Truck and Bus division in Flint Michigan. Soon after retirement he relocated back to Claiborne County in 1986. Sherman is preceded in death by wife Eula Mae Hatfield , 2nd wife Betty Jean West Hatfield and daughter in-law; Gloria Hatfield, and his parents; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Sherman is survived by 5 sons: Jerry(Bonnie) Hatfield of Sevierville, TN

Bobby(Margie) Hatfield of Flint, MI;

Alex Michael Hatfield of New Tazewell, TN;

Darrell(Diane) Hatfield of NC;

James(Kimberly) Hatfield of Tazewell, TN;

13 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great Grandchild.

A visitation for Sherman will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Minister: Rev. David Wilder;

Pallbearers: Cody Hatfield, Wesley Hatfield, Tim Hatfield, Jason Hatfield, Rob Hatfield and Jerry Hatfield.

Alternates are Brandon Daniels and Brian Daniels.
