Shirley M. Lester, age 86, of Tazewell, Tennessee was born April 12, 1937 and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Shirley was a member of House of God Worship Center in New Tazewell. In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed gardening, coloring, and reading, especially her Bible.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Alice Johnson, five brothers, and son-in-law Earl Johnson.

Shirley is survived by her partner, Jim England. Daughters: Brenda (Alan) Janeway, Glenda Johnson, and Carolyn (Jim) Gose. Sons: Eddie Lester, Doug (Pam) Lester, and Jessie Lester. Grandchildren: Michelle Kitts, Christine Epperson, Jackie Bolden, Kim Day, Raychel Johnson and Samantha (Brandon) Wilson. Great grandchildren: Tyler Epperson, Vince Bolden, Emily Day, Raiden, Ember Rain, and Baylor Wilson. Great-great grandchildren, Winston and Coralie Epperson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday January 11, 2024 from 11 AM until 12 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
