
William Glen Neely age 72 of Tazewell, TN was born June 8, 1940 and passed away January 3, 2013 at his home. He was a member of Chittum Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the Army for 3 years. Glen worked 20 years with Claiborne County Road Department, 15 years with Norris Homes and retired in 2005 and he farmed the majority of his life while still working on public service. He married Lela Abner September 6, 1964. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Sherman & Martha (Lynch) Neely; 5 brothers, Wade, Edward, Fay, Vince and Junior; 6 sisters: Eva Harrell, Ruby Neely, Chloa Neely, Elsie Neely, Francis Neely and Mary Brooks. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years: Lela Abner Neely
Children: Richard (Josey) Neely
Rusty (Scarlett) Neely all of Tazewell
Grandchildren: Logan and Peyton Neely
Special Friends: Dr. Carroll and Janice Rose and Riley Good
Special Sister-in-law: Florence Neely
Special Nieces: Patricia Neely and Freda Mullins
Special Nephew: Don Neely

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. Saturday January 5, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Saturday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at 1:00 P.M. Sunday January 6, 2012 in the Neely Cemetery.
