Alan R. Berman, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2022, as his family stood by his side sending him to his resting place with comfort and solace. Alan was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many who were lucky enough to have him close to their heart. Alan, born on May 3rd, 1946, was son to Dorothy and Philip Berman and brother to Evelyn Feldstein and Paul Berman. He grew up surrounded by love and kindness.
Alan was a trusted and revered pharmacist at Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan for over 30 years. Not only did he touch the lives of many of his patients, but he shared his kindness and generosity with all those who crossed his path during his long and illustrious career. Alan lived everyday to the fullest. He died from complications of a kidney transplant. His strength, love and kindness is reflected in those whom he leaves behind: his wife, Nora, his daughter, Melissa, his brother and sister, Evelyn and Paul, son-in-law Josh, his grandchildren, Ryan and Madeline, and his entire extended family. May his memory always be a blessing.
Burial to follow at the Knollwood Park Cemetery in Ridgewood, Queens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan’s name can be made to the National Kidney Association or New York City Metropolitan Hospital.
