We announce with great sadness the passing of our beloved mother, Amelia "Mollie" Bergelt. She was the cherished mother of two sons, Charles and Keith, a loving grandmother to Evan and Geneva, and a proud great-grandmother to Francie.
Mollie was a woman deeply rooted in her large Italian family, growing up surrounded by love, laughter, and tradition. Her life was devoted to family and friends, and she cultivated strong bonds that brought joy and meaning to everyone who knew her.
She lived an extraordinary 101 years, a milestone that is both a testament to her resilience and a source of gratitude for our family. Last year, we had the privilege of celebrating her 100th birthday—a joyful occasion that brought family together from near and far. It was a day she cherished, filled with love, smiles, and memories.
Mollie is now reunited with her beloved husband, George Bergelt, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2008. We are comforted knowing that she rests peacefully in her beloved New York, alongside George, whom she missed every day.
Mom, rest with the angels. We find solace in knowing you have found eternal peace, reunited with Dad and your family, never to be separated again.
