

Antonio Negron, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. On June 23rd, 1963, Antonio married Ramona (née Albertorio) Negron, the love of his life. Together, they nurtured and raised five sons: Perry, Gary and Angela Marie, Larry and Marcela, Peter and Anne Marie, and Antonio Jr and Nadine. Antonio’s life was a testament to his devotion as a father, always placing the happiness and well-being of his children above all else.
Antonio's love extended to his grandchildren: Garret, Ciara Marie, Brandon, Mariana, Anthony and Mena, Michael and Taylor, Alexa, Chase, Addison, and Ariella, as well as his great-grandchildren: Anastasia, Nadia, and Harper. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
A passionate baseball enthusiast, Antonio’s dedication went beyond the game. He shared his love for baseball by coaching and mentoring not only his sons but also the children in the Soundview and Clason Point neighborhoods. His coaching of Team “Corozal” was a pinnacle of his passion, impacting many young lives in the Bronx. His influence and dedication have left an indelible mark, and those he mentored will always remember him fondly.
Professionally, Antonio was known for his hard work and commitment during his tenure with the New York City Housing Authority. His roles there were many, but his reputation for reliability and service to his community was unwavering. Antonio’s warm spirit and diligence were cherished by his colleagues and those he assisted throughout his career.
Antonio Negron’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a deep dedication to his loved ones. He has inspired all who knew him through his unwavering love and service.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Antonio’s life at the wake visitation on Friday, September 6th, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chas Peter Nagel Funeral Home, 352 East 87th Street, New York, NY 10128. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church, 230 East 90th Street, New York, NY 10128.
