passed away at home in the company of his partner and constant com-
panion of almost 50 years, Joel Sesser. The couple made their home in
Manhattan, Miami and Málaga.
Dr Hermoso was born and raised in Habana, where his medical training
was interrupted by the Cuban Revolution. He completed that training in
Madrid. A specialist in Pathology, he practiced medicine as Physician-in-
Charge in the NYC Department of Health for much of his career.
In addition to Mr Sesser, Dr Hermoso leaves behind his brother and sister-
in-law, José and Marlene Sánchez, their daughters, Vanessa (Yosmel) and
Valerie, as well as his 8 months old, great niece, Valentina.
Dr Hermoso’s ashes will be entombed alongside family members at Our
Lady of Mercy Cemetary, Miami.
