Beth Kaplan Bongar, also known as Rosie and B Outrageous, embodied the joy of freedom, the gift of laughter and the wonder of childlike spontaneity. As with fire, her warmth comforted everyone in her presence. Her passion ignited fantasies that otherwise lay dormant and her laughter erased all pain. Home was
a community not a location. Shelter and love were found in New York, Florida, California, Connecticut, Hudson Valley, Long Island and Europe. The tools in her travel bag were glitter, lipstick, juggling balls and magic dust. Her journeys required metallic sneakers, diamonds, thrift shop cashmere and high heels, and her
destination was happiness. Her son Bradley was the love of her life, her family, her foundation, and her friends were her traveling companions.
She is an irreplaceable loss to those who loved her and she leaves a reminder that freedom of expression, and love are the primary reason we are here in the first place. The immediate survivors of the little women are her sisters Meg Kaplan, Jo Gelbard and Amy Guttman.
