Bonita L Labosky

Bonnie Labosky born in Johnstown, PA July 21, 1942, the daughter of John and Agnes Labosky died peacefully in the company of her husband James Tallon, son Luke Tallon and daughter Katherine Tallon (Peter Rosenblum) on March 27, 2023 after a long illness. She was the loving grandmother of James and Will Tallon and Olivia and Max Rosenblum. She was the loved and admired “big sister” of Sharon Kirk (Sam Kirk) and John Labosky. Bonnie grew up in DuBois, PA where with the encouragement of her father she grew to love mathematics, pursuing it further at Mercyhurst College and University of Notre Dame. She later translated this love of math into professional leadership in medical technology at Medtronic in Minnesota, Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, NY, and lastly back in Minnesota as CEO of then start-up Respicardia, Inc. In all of these roles Bonnie was a trailblazer for women. She loved travel, art and music. Among her most outstanding achievements was her insistence on consistently melding her love for her work with her love for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt to many nieces and nephews, and friend. Her life will be celebrated prayerfully with a Requiem Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in New York City where she had retired to be closer to her children and grandchildren. The Mass will be on Monday, April 3 at 11:00am. May she rest in peace.
