Unfortunately I never had the honor of meeting David, however I was blessed enough to be able to join the Fortune Society and utilize the services available for those directly impacted by the system. When I heard the news about David’s passing, even though I did not know him directly/personally, I still felt at loss. My deepest condolences to the family and all those who knew him on that level. It is a shame that the world lost such a great man, and G-d is lucky to have such an angel by his side. Thank you David for all that you’ve done & continue to do as your legacy will live on forever.

Went to Deerfield with David and freshman year we lived next to each other in the John Williams house. David was really like a room mate and best friend while we were at Deerfield.  I will always remember the night we went to a New York Rangers hockey game and David had arranged for the organist to play the Deerfield school song between the second and third periods.  We both stood up and proudly sang our school anthem in a sold out crowd, none of whom had any idea what the organist or we were doing!

It was shocking to hear from Jessie this evening about the sad demise of a wonderful man, who never made our work at the club unpleasant. 
We will truly miss seeing him walking along the corridors of CCC. and serving you as a couple.

I worked with David at Salomon and at Citi. He was such a professional and a decent person. Truly one of the good guys, I will miss him.   My deepest condolences.

David was a friend of mine when we were at Dartmouth College in the mid 1960’s.  We worked together at the college radio station where he helped cover sports.  I was a year ahead of him.  
He was a great guy and I am sorry we lost touch after graduation but I remember him well and send sympathies to his family.

David and I served together at Ft Polk La in 1969 in the Army reserves. Even in the worst of times David always retained a smile, a sense of humor and regards for his fellow man. He had an extraordinary love for life and an intellectual curiosity. After not seeing David for decades, my daughter and family moved into 1185 Park Avenue and David interviewed them. We then met for lunch twice and it was good to remember earlier times together. My very best to the family.

Had the pleasure to work on many of David deals and played a few rounds of golf. True gentleman and professional, sad to hear this news. My thoughts go out to his family and many friends.

I first met David in 1983, through business, and  we connected over two things we loved — the New York Football Giants and golf. We were ardent fans and mediocre golfers. We had many conversations and rounds over the next forty plus years. So happy David was able to attend the Super Bowl wins. My Giants memory will be David dutifully attending games at Giants Stadium with his blanket and thermos of hot chocolate. A crafty, veteran fan move, indeed.  

Anytime on the golf course with Sich was a great day. At Century, in Ireland or anywhere in the NYC area he was a pure delight. Our golf was OK but the laughs were never ending. 

Your husband was a wonderful man and my life has been blessed for knowing him. Rest in peace, David.

I had the distinct honor and pleasure of working with David at Salomon for many years in the 90s though the early 2000’s. David treated everyone with the utmost respect . He always had a smile on his face and liked to laugh with you. David will be missed. My deepest condolences to the greater  Sicher family. His memory is a blessing! So sorry

I was privileged to work with David for a number of years.  In Private Finance he was our dedicated salesperson.  What a pro!  What a gentleman!  What a great guy!  What a smile!  It was an honor and a pleasure to know him and to work with him.  He was always a great person to be around, and he was always respected.  He will be missed.  May his family be comforted, and may he be a bright star in the hereafter!

My deepest condolences to David's entire family. I was a "client" of David's for many years when he was at Citi. He was the very best. He always looked out for me, as a young analyst, as he knew the company I worked for better than I did. I always loved speaking to him and highly valued his advice. I feel honored to have been able to work with him during my own career.

Thanks to my lifelong friendship with Dave's brother Steve, I consider myself blessed -- and now bereaved -- to be an honorary younger brother. 

An early memory is the visit I paid with Steve and his parents Ann and Bill to Deerfield, Mass., to watch Dave play hockey. He was a goalie and a big fan of the New York Rangers' puck-stopper Lorne "Gump" Worsley. Bill convinced me that the Candlelight Motor Inn, in nearby Greenfield, where we were staying, was so called because they had no electric lights. I fell for the joke totally. 

Dave and I both lost sons: mine at the age 5, his at the age of 23. Sitting at the funeral home in Manhattan, stupefied by my loss, I looked up to see Dave and Steve walking across the carpet to be with me in my hour of need. 

I treasure Dave for his decency, his loyalty, his big smile and big heart. He welcomed me into his family without reservation. I will always love him as a brother and irreplaceable dear friend.

David was a deeply decent and generous man. But what might have distinguished him even more was this: He was a terrific person. He was someone folks always looked forward to seeing and seeing again. David had a unique warmth. He and I were cousins and knew each other for about 75 +years. He will be missed by so many.

Beloved father, grandfather, and my first husband, Dave was beyond kind and generous.  He was a treasure and we all are so lucky to have been part of his life.  It’s only been 24 hours and he’s already dearly missed.
