

Edward J. Agostini passed away due to complications of pneumonia surrounded by his family. Edward and his wife, Sylvia, shared a passion for travel, design, the arts, and their family.
Raised in the Bronx, Edward received a BA from New York University, studied design in graduate school at Cranbrook Academy of Art on the G.I. Bill. He graduated from Officer’s Candidate School, U.S. Navy, served on active sea duty, in the Mediterranean on the 6th Fleet Flagship, USS Salem and in the Pacific based in Japan on the USS Kawishiwi. He retired as Lieutenant JG in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Edward had extensive professional experience in marketing, management, design and strategic planning. He has advised international organizations, professional firms, and corporations and has directed significant projects all over the world. In addition, he served non-profit institutions in a variety of performing arts, humanitarian and international cross-cultural initiatives.
Edward’s business career involved many years with Becker + Becker followed by John Warneke, HOK, and CRS. He was involved with many important projects in the United States and abroad.
Edward was appointed to the Board of Advisors for the U.S.-China Aids Foundation and served as their liaison in New York City. He also served as Chairman Emeritus of Jennifer Muller, The Works, a contemporary dance company in New York City. He was active on a task force sponsored by the National Commission of the Arts, chaired by Harriet Fulbright, and was a trustee at LongHouse Reserve, as well as, Jack Lenor Larsen, Inc.
He has been an active member of The University Club in New York, NY for over 30 years.
Edward and Sylvia raised their family in Scarsdale, New York and have called New York City and Miami Beach, Florida their home for the last 20 years.
Edward leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Sylvia and daughter Alyssa Crilley (Jim), son Evan Agostini (Grace), and grandchildren, Margaret Crilley, J.P. Crilley and Edward Crilley as well as extended family and many friends.
