Gloria was born on April 4, 1929 to Charles and Anna Loventhal in New York City. She graduated from NYU with a BA. Gloria married Dr. Murray Silver on April 29, 1951 and together they had three sons, Charles, Casey and James, who are married respectively to Jennifer, Tia and Amy.
Gloria and Murray’s loving marriage spanned 58 years. Gloria is the grandmother of Anna Gordon, Luke Silver, Sophia Silver, Erik Silver, Kevin Silver and Annika Silver. She has 5 great grandchildren, Dean, Dylan, August, Elias and Winter.
Gloria was an avid bridge player and member of the Auxiliary at Lenox Hill Hospital. A powerful force to be reckoned with, she will be missed by the many lives she touched.
A funeral service for Gloria Silver will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, located at 180 West 76th Street, New York, NY, 10023, United States. The service is scheduled for October 8, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.
