Jane A Ingenito

Jane Ann (Onesti) Ingenito, 73 years old, of New York, NY passed away on May 11, 2020 in her home after fighting a long battle with cancer. Jane was born at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan; the third generation in her family to be born and raised in Greenwich Village. She resided in Manhattan for most of her life; spending all of her summers at her family’s beach house in Highlands, NJ.

She worked as an administrative assistant for many years but was most proud of her role as devoted mother to her 2 sons. Jane was known for her strength, vivacious and generous spirit, superior cooking and entertaining skills, love of family and the beach, and was loved and cherished by so many.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Julia (Hogan) Onesti. She is survived by her husband, Alphonse Ingenito; her children, JC Ingenito, Austin Ingenito and his wife Christine; sister-in-law Annette (Ingenito) Gurry and her husband Tom; niece Christina (Gurry) Smith and her husband Scott, and grandnephew and grandniece, Scott Jr. and Emily, as well as several beloved cousins.

A memorial in celebration of Jane’s life will be deferred to a later date.
