Lynn Joy

May 2, 1931 – August 21, 2012

Lynn Joy passed away too soon at the age of 81 on August 21, 2012. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Karen Corry, and to her son, Michael. Her three grandchildren are her pride and joys: Michael, Jessica and Matthew. She delighted in being a great-grandmother to Christian, whom she nicknamed “Chatterbox”, and the newest addition, Thomas, whom she advised has “eyes that look right through you.” Mom always looked forward to spending time with her family and enjoyed our being together every year in Florida.

Lynn was also a beloved sister to Ann, Christine, Irene and her late brother, John.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Home located at 252 East 87 Street. A Mass will be held the next morning at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 230 East 90 Street. Burial service will be at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
