Mary was the second born of eight children: Bruce, Jack, Tom, Rex, Maurice, Theodore (Pop) and Clint.
Mary came from humble beginnings and learned at an early age the meaning of “giving back”. She became a volunteer WAC for the United States Army. However, her true passion was being a caregiver to her mother. She knew the true meaning of “Honor thy mother and father”.
When Mary’s mother passed on to be with the Lord, Mary came to New York to live with her sister Caroline. Not only were they sisters but they were best friends. They loved shopping and spending time together. During Mary’s stay in New York, she met and married the one and only Charles Z. Wade. From this union came Charles, David, Cynthia and Julie.
Mary provided a loving and comfortable home for her family.
She was strong in spirit and always had words of wisdom to give to anyone in her presence.
Prior to becoming ill, Mary loved to take weekend trips to Atlantic City. Her Atlantic City nickname was “Magic Fingers”.
Mary leaves to mourn: her children, Charles Wade, David Wade, Cynthia Wade, and Julie Wade; daughters-in-law, Premmure Wade and Cheryl Wade; grandchildren, Brandon Wade, Kevin Malcolm, David Wade, Jr., Brittany, Brianna, Ashley, Sabrina, Alexandria and Antwan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Keyanna,Karina, Kimberly, Kayla and Kevin III; nephews, Arthur, Kevin, Arthur Jr., and Kevin Jr., nieces, Janice, Gretchen and Vanessa, and a host of family and friends.
