My deepest condolences to his family and his many friends. Nicky was one of the greatest friends…you always knew you could call him, no matter how much time passed, and he would pick up, have great advice and never judge. Nicky was always kind, even when he didn’t need to be. I miss him deeply. In a world full of people, it feels strangely empty without Nicky.

I was so sorry to hear of Nicky’s passing. We knew each other in high school and I saw him a couple years ago. We hadn’t seen each other in decades and he was as friendly and kind as always. In fact, that’s the refrain I have heard from others who, like me, weren’t part of his inner circle, but who knew him well enough to know he treated people with true kindness. I send my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones…

Nicky was one of the most kind fun intelligent people I have met living in New York. It’s a tragedy to loose such an amazing and unique human being.

You are living a parent’s  worst nightmare and we can’t imagine what you are going through.

We are so sorry for your loss and hope that the rest of your life will be spared misery.

Kenny’s mother died at 45 years old.  At least 100 people swear they were her best friend.  It so reminded me of today.  What a legacy.

In every circle, there’s one person who elevates the conversation, sharpens the wit, and turns the ordinary into something theatrical. For us, that was Nick.
I think of that photo often—the one where Lisa Cant, styled to perfection, holds still like a mannequin, while Nick bows to her in mock reverence. What at first glance seemed like humor was actually the essence of Nick: a man who could play the saint and the skeptic at once, a master of irony and affection combined. He didn’t just wield influence; he shared it. Every moment with him was a performance, a collaboration, a private language spoken in glances and shared laughter.
"Through friends we never have to suffer alone" wasn’t just something Nick believed—it was something he embodied. His wit, his grace, his ability to create moments of meaning without pretense, are what I’ll remember most.
May his memory be a blessing. And may we carry forward that rare gift he gave: of seeing life as both sacred and absurd—and loving it all the more because of it. 
May the Creator of us all bless Nick’s family abundantly with long life, comfort, and peace. May they be sheltered in love, carried through this sorrow, and find strength in every memory of his light. May his soul ascend in grace, and may his kindness echo long after him
