

Pamela Joy (Ahrens) Jones, age 60 of Ardmore, PA, passed away on Sunday August 5, 2018 at 3:54PM comfortably in her home surrounded by loved ones after a hard-fought battle with a rare cancer. The self-advocacy and determination Pam demonstrated throughout her illness was an inspiration to all, including the many medical professionals who provided her care.
Pam is survived by husband and great love of her life Greg Jones, son Evan Kozak, step-son Jamie Kozak (Susan), grandchildren Carter and Dawson Kozak, father Jerome Schwartz, step-mother Diane Schwartz, siblings Dr. David Lee Scher (Ronni), Lisa Gottlieb, Wendy Schwartz Sabinsky (Eric), Amy Schwartz Teplitz (Steven), uncle Gerry Scher, aunt Marcia Bernstein (Jon), cousins, nieces, and nephews. Pam is preceded in death by grandparents Herman and Rose Scher, Sol and Toby Schwartz and mother Marlene Scher. Pam had many close friends from each city where she resided including Albany, NY, Rochester, NY and Ardmore, PA.
Pam attended Stony Brook University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She also attended additional executive training at Columbia and Harvard Universities. She held Senior Vice President positions with Xerox, Knoll, and ModSpace. Pam’s legacy of her professional life was the mentoring and lasting impressions she made on women in business, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Pam earned her blackbelt in Karate and was an avid golfer with many tournament wins. Pam enjoyed traveling and visited many places throughout the world, including regular visits to her timeshare in St. Maarten.
Pam raised a son Evan, who became a Police Officer, which made her very proud. She thoroughly enjoyed her police ride-alongs with him during her visits. Pam also helped raise a step-son Jamie Kozak, who with his wife Susan Kozak, allowed Pam to enjoy her visits with their children, Carter and Dawson Kozak, who lovingly knew her as Grammy Pammy.
Pam met her husband Greg in 2003 as executives at Xerox, later reconnecting romantically in 2014. Greg never left her side and lovingly cared for her throughout her battle with cancer. On June 10, 2018, Pam and Greg wed to make the eternal love they shared for each other official in a small intimate ceremony held in their home.
