The Cooperman and Hyatt families mourn the passing of Bob Cooperman, our rock and sage. Beloved husband of Bonnie for 67 blissful years. Loving father of Jim (Laura), Tod (Sharon), and Nancy (Ken Hyatt). Inspirational grandfather of Tyler, Rachel, Hannah (Charlie), Alyssa, Lilah, Brendan and Noah, devoted brother to Selwyn and Barry. He always made time for everyone, exuding warmth and wisdom. He will be remembered for his large, inclusive Seders, leadership roles at UCF and Temple Israel in Great Neck and Temple Or Olam NYC, generous support (often anonymous) of many worthy causes and scholarships, not to mention his Amagansett Meshugganah Polar Bear Club. Graduate of Baruch College and Columbia Law School, Bob started his law firm in 1966, now Cooperman Lester Miller Gruber Kraus LLP, where he provided advice and guidance to countless clients, colleagues and friends. He lives on in all he touched.
