Robert Musiker (Bobby), of New York City, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Sharon. Dedicated father of Jake (Tara), Melissa (Vijay), Alexa (Michael), Maxx (Michael) and Erica. Devoted Grandfather of Clare, Micky, Lane, and Bailey, with a fifth grandchild on the way. Dearest brother of Jimmy (Jill), and uncle of Ashley (Andrew) and Casey (Jenny). Devoted son of Judy Musiker. Preceded in death by his father, Mike Musiker.
Bob was a proud graduate of Roslyn High School (1976) and Colgate University (1980). He co-led Musiker Tours and Summer Discovery, first with his parents and then with his brother, for 45 years. By virtue of his professional life, his thirst for adventure, and his love for music and the arts, Bob traveled to 87 countries throughout his life – making countless friends along the way. No matter where he was, he always found his way to the nearest live music venue. Bob dedicated his life to helping others, working as a trustee with the Joyce Theater Foundation and Professional Children’s School, and he supported many causes including the Turn-2-Foundation and Dukathole Scholarship fund. Bob leaves behind an international collective of family, friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly.
His relentless positivity, zest for life and service to humanity will reverberate for generations to come through the thousands of students, families and friends he impacted worldwide. We are eternally grateful to his medical team at NYU Langone Medical Center, including Dr. Paul Oberstein, Shantal Ginsburg, and the countless other surgeons, nurses and hospital staff that cared for him during the past five and a half years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his honor to the National Pancreas Foundation.
