Sandy died peacefully and with great courage on October 4th, surrounded by his loving family in his 79th year of life. Beloved husband of 54 years to Ricki, the love of his life. Cherished father and father in law of Sam and Jennifer Herzfeld and Leah and Jeff Mitelman. Adoring and adored Grampa to Max, Nate and Owen, his greatest source of joy. Dear brother and brother in law of the late Jeffrey Herzfeld and his wife Suzin Herzfeld, Ilene Bressler and Alan Bressler. Sandy will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews and his many cousins, who were some of his closest friends.
Sandy was admired and respected by all who knew him. He was extremely generous and always saw the best in everyone. He had an infectious sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh along with him. Despite his health struggles in recent years, he always remained optimistic and never stopped fighting to feel better. He will be forever in our hearts and minds.
