Dear Will,

What I remember most about Sue was her wit.  She was quick to laugh, but equally quick to call b.s. on anyone who deserved it.

I will remember her.

I offer my heartfelt condolences. Susan was such a sweetheart. A beautiful person, inside and out.  I do not remember ever seeing her not wearing a smile.  The world was a better place with her in it.

Representing Hollie at our wedding party. It's always good to have family nearby. Lucy loves you all so much. Thank you for welcoming me into the family.

Always sweet, kind and lovely to share landmark events with Susan and Hollie. She will always be remembered fondly.

Dear Aunt Susan,

I want to sincerely thank you for being such an amazing Aunt in my life. I treasure the many memories we've made during our family gatherings, where you always made an effort to connect with me, and later with my daughter Serena when she came into our lives. When you met and married Will, you both became a brilliant example of what a loving relationship should look like. The love you shared is genuinely inspiring. Thank you for being so welcoming to my wife as well. I appreciate the life and love lessons you've imparted just by being your wonderful self.

Dear Susan,

My earliest memory is walking to your New York neighborhood vacant lot and yelling though the rain drainage pipe to hear echos.

I remember a sunny, hot summer day in Cape Code. You were a young teenager and my brothers and I were younger. We were afraid of the one-armed crabs which ran around near the dunes. You were able to lead us to safety.

I also remember you and Mary teasing me about "eating Tony" at Tony's Pizza restaurant up the road from our house. 

I remember one day I accidently broke plate of died sand over your eyes while sunbathing on the beach. I am deeply sorry for that time. I had thought that it was such an interesting thing that I discovered.  I still feel guilty. But you forgave me.

Then one day you went to college, and our naive, innocent childhood memories came to a sudden halt.

Until Gramps died. You and Mary kept 3 younger cousins from getting sadder in the limousine.

I remember your wedding day. You so loved Will. I could see it years afterwards when you sat across from him working. You both were so in love and united. That is a great lesson for me to observe. Love can be a real thing. You taught me that. Thaank you.

I leave you with this silly song fom Gramps... "We hate to see you go, we hate to see you go, we hope the heck you never come back, we hate to see you go!" :-)

Will, I will always remember the first time you and Sue met., it was a connection right away.   I am so sorry to hear the news about Sue’s passing. I pray for you and the family as you go through the process of funeralizing her. May God soothe your sorrows and replace them with wonderful times in your life that you shared together.
