

She graduated from school in Haiti to become “une Avocate” (Lawyer). She pursued a career in Education. She taught French Literature au Lycee des Cayes.
She married Lionel D. Jean-Claude, also from Les Cayes, on September 21, 1960. Together they had four daughters. She and Lionel moved to Chad, Africa in 1968, where she continued to teach French Literature. Seeking better opportunities, she immigrated to the United States in 1977 with her family.
Vanina was a woman of strong courage and fortitude. She worked as a Nursing Assistant until she retired in 1997 (the year of the birth of her first grandchild). After her retirement, Vanina spent her time helping to raise 5 grandchildren. For her, it was a labor of love. She enjoyed being of service to her family and to others in the community. Helping others was her special mission, which she enjoyed and accomplished with selfless abandonment.
Vanina lost her husband on December 7th 2002.
She passed away on September 11, 2015, surrounded by her family..
She is survived by her four daughters,:Yveline Jean-Claude, Jessie Jean-Claude,
Carine Jean-Claude and Enid Jean-Claude.
Her special pride and joy were her grandchildren Sean, Natalia and Justin Louhisdon, Christopher Greene and Lionel Kenzo Hung.
Titi will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
