I worked with  Dr. Vishnoi for years at First Med in Bayside. Truly sadden and shocked to hear about his passing. Very Very sad news. He was such a kind and sweet doctor, patient's and staff members loved him..  Every morning he would greet me at the front desk with a smile and say to me " Good morning Kajol"He use to say I resembled that actress from India  . He would come to the front desk and show off every watch he wore, he did love his expensive watches. I  May he Rest In Peace definitely gone to soon...  He will truly be missed. My name is Emily and I am an x-ray tech at CityMD. I worked several shifts with Dr. Vishnoi at CityMD in Nanuet during the height of the pandemic. One thing I remember working with him was his humor and making people laugh! He was a great doctor and will be missed by many. My condolences to Dr. Vishnoi's friends and family.

I am truly heartbroken and devastated to hear of Dr. Vishnoi's untimely passing. I am sending love and strength to his wonderful family and friends I started working as a nurse at First-Med in Bayside, Queens in 2001. A few years later Dr. Vishnoi was hired. I worked with him up until the owner of First-Med Barry Brumberg, MD decided after owning his practice since the early 1980's to sell his practice in 2017 to CityMD, so he can progress into retiring after practicing medicine for so many years. Dr. Vishnoi was an extraordinary person. He was a brilliant doctor who knew so much about so many different topics. He was compassionate, hard working and just an overall wonderful person. All of the patients adored him and were always commenting to the nurses about what a fabulous doctor he was. I remember bringing my son in to see Dr. Vishnoi when he was in elementary school. Dr. Vishnoi would have discussions about blood cells and different areas of medicine. My son was always so intrigued with their conversations. My son who is now 24 years old has always mentioned Dr. Vishnoi over the years and remembers all of their discussions about science and medicine. In 2008, my husband was not feeling well. Dr. Vishnoi saw him and diagnosed him with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Without Dr. Vishnoi's knowledge of so many areas of medicine, I am not sure my husband would still be alive today. Dr. Vishnoi was able to get my husband an appointment with a hematologist/oncologist within one day of diagnosing him. This doctor did a bone marrow biopsy where the diagnosis was confirmed. Over the years following my husband's diagnosis, he also helped me with my older son who an infection in his hip and needed emergency surgery and my younger son who will be 21 in a few days who came off the school bus when he was 8 years old with right sided abdominal pain and I spoke with Dr. Vishnoi who knew right away it was appendicitis and also needed emergency surgery.

It’s really been a long time since we met last as we took different paths after school days and unfortunately, our paths never crossed. However, the bonds that were built during childhood can never be forgotten. The time we spent together as children playing and fighting together in the playground and when the chips were really down, you would pull out the mouth organ, play it for all of us to lighten up the mood. And if we were at home, you would pull out the harmonium and play it for us. Even at that time you were an expert at musical instruments and in classical music. I am sure that you have lived a life full of enthusiasm and always been with the people around you wholeheartedly. May you continue to live happily in the next world. Here, of course, you will be missed.

My name is Mariam, I am a scribe at Fulton CityMD. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Dr.Vishnoi. Whenever he would pick up at Fulton he was full of stories, joy and and laughter. I had the honor of having conversations with him about his life growing up, his years spent as a physician in Iran and his love for adventures upstate with his family. I did not realize our time together would be cut short. He was not only an exceptional doctor but also a person of so much personality and experience. He knew more than most about history and really loved geography. I am Heart broken to know I will not be indulging in these conversations around art and history with him. It gives me some comfort knowing his interactions with me and so many of us have left such a big impact. I will forever try to be as adventurous in my life as he was and as passionate about medicine as he was. He made everyone in the room feel seen and always engaged in conversations even the most shy of us scribes would love speaking with him. CityMD was honored by his work in this company. My heart has been heavier and my days have been surrounded with this sadness hearing the news of his passing. I will forever remember his last words “if life allows it we will meet again”. This serves as a reminder to cherish those around and love everyone everyday as we might not get another chance. He would often treat us to food and I didn’t get the chance to get even. I still owe him a sandwich from chik fil e. I Hope this brings Dr.Vishnoi’s Family some peace knowing he will be remembered as a great physician and an amazing human.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our dear (and first) neighbor of ten years, Vik.  Always quick with a wave, smile or witty remark, Vik brought humor, harmony and warmth to our driveways.   He was a master at balancing work, travel and home maintenance—a testament to his dedication to living a full life.  Vik was very good to our family - always friendly, considerate and trustworthy - such a great neighbor. Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences.  We were all so shocked and saddened to hear about Dr. Vishnoi's untimely passing.  I worked at First Med for over 32 years, so I knew him for 20 years since he started there.  He took care of my entire family with kindness.  Besides being a skilled, compassionate physician, he was a man of many talents and interests including singing, collecting watches, traveling and studying hieroglyphics.  He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Dr. Vishnoi was always fun to work with. I've known him for 7 years and each time we worked together, he would make jokes. He was a very compassionate physician. People in the community always loved and remembered him and would ask for him when he transferred to the Westchester office. He is sorely missed by all.

Shifts at CityMD with Dr. Vikas Vishnoi were always fun.  His energy and enthusiasm for life were infectious.  His stories were incredible.  I so enjoyed the conversations we had during the lulls in the shifts.

My absolute favorite memory of him took place at the Metro-North dinner.
Sitting at the table with him, Dr. Saif Kahn and Dr. Joseph Taddeo made for an evening of amazing stories and unforgettable laughter.
