Donald Southard, 81, of Newburgh passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. He was born October 28, 1939 in Evansville to the late James and Mildred (Braddy) Southard.
He was a Marine veteran. Donald was a printer and retired from the Evansville Courier and Press. He was a past president of the Labor Temple and was a member of the Eagles and Owls. He had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Donald was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Magan, and sisters, Patricia Woodring and Roberta Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara (Mummert) Southard; daughters, Justine Cameron (Jim) and Sherri Lynn Magan; sons, Brian D. Southard (Lori) and Donald Southard, Jr. (Stephanie); grandchildren, Craig Magan, Wesley Southard (Katie), Shelby Southard, Montana Magan, Jeanine Cameron, Colton Magan, John Cameron, Riley Southard and Cole Peterson; sisters, Lois Prince and Nancy Penrod, and brothers, Mike Southard (Theresa), Brad Southard (Brad) and Pete Southard (Linda).
The family would like to thank Southerncare Hospice, especially Rhonda and April, who went above and beyond with their care and compassion for Donald.
No services will be held.
