Jack Mahlon Cline

Jack Mahlon Cline “Action”, age 84, of Newburgh passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born December 8, 1933, in Perrysville, OH to Eudora and Creed Cline. He was an oilman and entrepreneur starting in the oilfield in 1968 and never stopped working. He was also Wendy’s Franchisee responsible for helping start business in Evansville in late 1970’s. A member of Rolling Hills Country Club for 39 years, loved sports, particularly racquetball, golf and horse racing. He was a seasoned slalom water-skier and enjoyed boating with his family at Lake Barkley every summer. Jack also enjoyed many vacations with his loved ones in the Bahamas. Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jo Ann Cline and parents, Eudora and Creed Cline. He is survived by his four children: Gretchen Sarah Cline of Spring Lake, MI; Craig Mahlon Cline and wife Kellie Cline of Oakley, CA; Jodi Christine Peters of Newburgh; and Jack Creed Cline and wife Sara Cline of Newburgh; Grandchildren: Celika Christine Peters of Nashville, TN; Blake Daniel Peters, Ava Eleanor Cline, Ellis Louise Cline and Caroline Ann Cline of Newburgh; Jack Harris Cline, Lucas Daniel Bright and Ashley Lauren Ann DeJong of Oakley, CA; and sisters, Chris Cline of Wichita Falls, TX and Darlene Shaw of Concord, OH. Visitation will take place at Alexander Funeral Home in Newburgh, IN on Saturday, April 7, 2018 between 10am- 12pm. A Memorial Service will directly follow the visitation at 12pm.
