Kenneth Wayne Burris

Kenneth Wayne Burris, 83, of Newburgh, IN passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. He was born in Paducah, KY on May 19, 1935 to the late John and Rachel Burris. He retired in 1995 from Whirlpool Corporation where he had worked for over 35 years. He also worked at Berry Plastics and retired in 2009 after 15 years. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 14 years. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and he taught management skills at Junior Achievement. He enjoyed building homes. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Sharleen S. (Hayhurst) Burris. He is survived by his son, Mark W. Burris (Dana); daughter, Kelly Sue McCamish (David); grandchildren, Brittany Lear, Bradley Burris, Adam Burris, Tyler McCamish, Mallorie McCamish, Kaleb McCamish and Luke McCamish; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, John Burris; sisters, Mildred Hopper and Maryanna in California. Graveside services will be held 9:00 AM Thursday July 19, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery officiated by Rev. David Niednagel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
