hello i am sorry for your loss i remember back in the 1970's visiting great uncle bob and ann and remember their great hospitality. My grandmother charllotte canning anderson passed away in Dec of 2006.I hope all is well ,Scott Lackner Dutch Harbor Alaska

Just opened your message today.  So sad, but you are right: the quality of like these past few years hasn't been too good, and I'm sure she is finding some peace now.  Thanks for taking such good care of Ann.  She was a special cousin, and even though we didn't get together nearly often enough, we did try to keep in contact.  Just a few years ago, I drove by Hauser Blvd, but couldn't recognize anything.  Far back memories of your grandad being a baker at Ralph's, your grandma keeping a beautiful house with a picture of a Spanish girl at the fountain (why does one remember these things??), and your mom playing an electric guitar, which we were very envious of.  In the summer, the two families would go camping for a couple of weeks, sleeping in tents and enjoying the out doors.  On one of those trips, Ann, Barb, Carl, and I went to the local camp store, that had a slot machine.  I slipped in a nickle, and got 6 nickles back!  We quickly spent that and vowed to each other that we wouldn't tell the folks.....gosh, how daring could one be?  Another time, we were in a canoe out in the lake, and had lost the paddles.  The folks had gone shopping, and when they returned and found us out in the lake.......well, we did get a scolding for that.  Ann tried to teach us bridge; we played Monopoly.  We had a wonderful childhood together with great memories.  Ann's passing will be deeply felt by all of us.  As I said, she was a very special cousin.

Craig- I never got to meet your mother but remember many years ago before the on-line geneology was catching on, I was trying to do research on our family tree and your mother would send me information and keep in touch.
