Audrey was born in Lansing, Michigan to Marion West Standard and Vera Evelyn Standard on February 26, 1946. The family moved, settling in Burbank, CA where she eventually met the love of her life, Robert Russell Pence at Luther Burbank Middle School. Audrey and Bob eventually married on October 25, 1964, at the Rosewood Wedding Chapel, in Burbank, with family and friends in attendance. Bob’s Vietnam era service commitment in the Navy brought them to San Diego where they began a family, eventually moving to Santa Clarita, which they considered home. Lynnette Ann, Edward Russell and Matthew Russell were born to this happy union. While keeping house, Audrey also sought employment, namely working at Eastman-Kodak in North Hollywood, CA, and Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, in Valencia, CA. Aside from doing this, Audrey also found the time to support her children in their activities, happily volunteering her time in the name of their sporting interests.
Audrey was very fond of dancing, playing the piano, singing in the church choir, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey also enjoyed the friendship of Sandie Bartschi whom she loved as a sister, her friend of over 50 years, visiting with and speaking to frequently.
Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Russell Pence and is survived by her children, Lynnette Ann Marx, Edward Russell Pence, and Matthew Russell Pence. She is also survived by her grandchildren Allison Ann Morris, Robert (Bobby) Russell Pence, Robert Scott Marx, Emily Nicole Pence, Ashley Elizabeth Pence, Joshua Russell Pence, Madeline Michelle Marx, Alexis (Lexi) Grace Pence, Caylie Marie Pence, Kaitlyn Elise Pence, and great-grandchildren Elizabeth Marie Morris and Robert Cameron Marx. Lastly, she is also survived by her brothers William and Robert Standard.
The family of Audrey wishes to extend our thanks to all family and friends who loved her. She was a special person who will be sorely missed.
