She was born on May 31, 1925 in Portage, Pennsylvania.
Betty is survived by her sons, Richard Spangler, Terry Spangler, Kenneth Spangler, Ronald Spangler, Gary Spangler; and daughter, Mary Spangler.
A memorial service for Betty was held on January 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Eternal Valley Mortuary, Newhall. Inurnment will take place at Los Angeles National Cemetery.
