

Bonita Madeline Faragher was born on January 27th, 1922 and passed away on November 9th, 2013 at the age of 91. Bonnie was born in Castlewood, South Dakota to ray and Tracy Ching. She graduated high school from Plainville Academy in Redfield, South Dakota in 1940 and then attended 1 year of college in Lincoln, Nebraska. On May 12th, 1941, she married Palmer Lavelle Faragher in Topeka, Kansas.
Bonnie and Palmer moved to California in 1942 to work at Lockheed Aircraft, where she took a position in the accounting department. In 1945, they returned to Watertown, South Dakota and settled in to raise a family, but in 1965 moved back to California where they have remained to this day. At an early age, Bonnie was an accomplished musician, playing both the trumpet and the piano. She was an excellent seamstress and in her first few years of marriage won several first place awards at the South Dakota state fair. After they moved back to the west coast, Bonnie worked for General Telephone for 28 years as a telephone operator in San Fernando, California. Throughout her life, she was an excellent business manager, a wonderful cook, and an immaculate house keeper. But by far the most important role of her life was that of a loving wife and mother.
Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Palmer and her sister Mavis. She is survived by her sister Audra, her five children Janet, Gary, Mike, Kevin, and Alan. She has 11 grandchildren and 5 great – grandchildren.
Bonnie loved her family deeply and sacrificed many things to provide for them. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
