Carolyn Ann Cole

February 13, 1948 - September 21, 2020

Carolyn Ann Cole, 72, of Santa Clarita, CA was called to her heavenly home to dance amongst the angels on September 21, 2020. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on Feb 13, 1948 to George Minard SR (deceased) and Willie Ella Minard (deceased) and had 10 siblings. She grew up in Chicago but moved to Detroit where she and her first husband Howard Cole Sr (deceased) would raise sons Howard Jr. and Tarrence and their daughter Carletta. She married her second husband William Hampt Walker (deceased) in 1985 and remained in Detroit until 1994 when she decided to start her new chapter in Orlando, FL. She went to work for the Rosen Franchise Hotels where she would spend the next 22 years being recognized numerous times as their Employee of the Month and received recognition as their Employee of the Year. In a company of 10,000 employees she left an indelible mark. In 2016, Carolyn moved to California with her daughter Carletta and her grandson McCarrie, where she lived the rest of her days, never missing an opportunity to play bingo, listen to music or dance.

She is survived by her children Howard Cole Sr., Tarrence Cole (and wife Mariama) and Carletta Cole.

Carolyn was loved by so many people from all over the globe as well as her extensive family of ten brothers and sisters including George Minard Jr. (and wife Leslie ) (both deceased), Tyrone Minard, Kevin Minard, Kathy Minard-Sykes (deceased) and her husband David, Duane Minard Sr. (and wife Kim) , Darnell Minard (and wife Patricia), Timothy Minard (and wife Sharon), Darrall Horn, Karla Smith and Eva Smith. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and was always surrounded by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

What a beautiful coincidence that she was called to the Lord on September 21st, which was the 26th anniversary of her own mother’s passing.

Services will be held October 10, 2020 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in Santa Clarita, CA. Viewing will be from 11am-3pm with Celebration of Life from 3pm – 4pm. Repass will be from 6-9pm with the address being provided after services. Masks are required.
