

Celia Margarita Candiotti de Vaccari, better known to everyone as Mamicoco, was born in Lima, Peru to Fidel Candiotti and Agustina Munoz on May 12, 1927. She married the love of her life, Pedro Silvio Vaccari, in Lima, Peru. She went to elementary and high school at Divino Maestro in Lima, Peru. She pursued a career in nursing and graduated as a nurse from Larco Herrera Nursing School. She worked as a nurse for Hospital Militar in Lima, Peru for well over 30 years.
She lived a very full life. She spent lots of time in her favorite beach town, Chilca, with her husband and all the family and friends that they created over the years. After she retired, she was very involved in Las Salinas de Chilca community, helping build the church and develop the community. In 2012, she moved to California, USA, where she spent the last 12 years of her life. Here in California she lived with her daughter Lily Mankofsky and her son in law Mitch Mankofsky, who took care of her with so much love and dedication. She enjoyed going to the beach, dancing at the senior center, and attending lots of bowling evenings. You could always sit with her to watch just about any sports game, she quickly became a big Dodger Fan.
Celia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pedro Silvio Vaccari, her oldest son Helmuth Pricco Vaccari, and her grandchildren Frida Sofia Vaccari and Freddy Cresci.
Celia is survived by her children, Lily Mankofsky, Gino Vaccari, and Frida Vaccari; her son and daughter in law, Mitch Mankofsky and Karem Vaccari; her grandchildren, Carla Vaccari, Italo Vaccari, Giuseppe Vaccari, Jethro Cresci, Eva Vaccari-Croft, and Fabrizio Vaccari; and her great-grandchildren, Kyara Cresci and Ivano Llosa.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16, 2024 at 1:00pm at Chapel of the Oaks, Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321.
