Donald Huband Wilkinson

Donald Wilkinson born to David Ray and Mabel Huband Wilkinson, husband to Joyce Wilkinson for 33 years. Loving and devoted father to 7 children, 4 stepchildren, 45 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren. Donald passed away peacefully at his home in Newhall, CA after a long battle with Pneumonia.

Donald Served in the US Army in the Koren War where he and his twin brother Ron were Engineers and surveyed roads and bridges that were used to move the troops. Donald Graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for IBM Instruments for 30 years as a programmer, where he earned recognition and awards for his work, which he loved. For the last 8 years he worked from home for Miles Chemical doing the filing of their electronic documents to which he was scrupulous in keeping track of each and every document he would file and he would not go to to bed at night until he filed each and every document that was in the document cue no matter what time it was and worked up until he went into the hospital on 12/31/12.

Donald was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many capacities from Bishop's Counselor, Young men's Presidency, Executive Secretary, Membership Clerk and many more areas. Donald and his wife Joyce served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints St George Utah Temple and the Los Angeles Temple and served a rewarding mission for the church in the Texas San Antonio Mission Area.

Donald served in many areas of the Boy Scouts of America from Scout Master, Assistant Scout Master, Advancement Chairman, 10+ years, and many more positions. Don earned many awards for his scouting service along with the On My Honor award, District Second Miler Utah award and the Silver Beaver award.

He loved wood working and made many beautiful things for his family along with ornaments for Christmas for the kids and grand kids and great grand kids.

Donald was a devout member of the church he loved and a devoted husband and father.
