Hernan Patricio Morro

Hernan P. Morro was born on October 21, 1954 in Santiago, Chile. He was very liked by all who came in contact. Hernan never met a stranger, every person in the world was just a friend he hadn’t met yet. He made many friends throughout his life. Between them, they got into many adventures making memories that will be told for ages to come. During the time he attended the Instituto Nacional college, he studied drafting. At the same time is when he met some of his best friends Luis del Ponte, Marcelo Chico and Pato Miranda to name a few.

Hernan was very multi-talented and versatile in many aspects. He moved to Campo Grande, Brazil in 1976 to work with his brother Vicente at an ice cream shop. He then began working as an engine cleaner on an oil transport ship traveling between Brazil and Egypt. He later returned to Chile shortly after and in 1982 he migrated to the United States.

Once in the states he met the love of his life, Gaudencia Morro, in a disco club and in true gentleman fashion, he wasted no time showing up at her door with flowers making sure he would seal the deal with his future wife. That would be the start of a long and beautiful marriage that would last 39 marvelous years. They had their one and only child, Christian, whom they both loved and devoted every bit of their energy to provide the best life Christian could possibly have. They would give anything and sacrificed all to ensure Christian would have the best tools and resources to make the best of his life. Hernan began a whole new chapter of everlasting friendships in the states including Alejandro Serrano, Janet and Juan Carlos Aguilera, Chayo Cuba and Lisboa to name a few.

Hernan’s life, unfortunately, was cut short due to cancer. His wife cared for him with the utmost quality throughout his life but more so during his last couple years during his sickness. He passed away, peacefully, in the early hours of Monday, September 18, 2023 at the age of 68 in his home in Saugus, CA with his wife by his side.

Although his body may not be here, his spirit, character, jokes, passion and legacy still live on through the stories being told. The advice he has passed to family and friends and every bit of admirable character he has shared with others will continue to cultivate for time to come.

Hernan P. Morro nació el 21 de octubre de 1954 en Santiago, Chile. Fue muy querido por todos los que lo conocieron. Hernan nunca conoció a un desconocido; cada persona en el mundo era simplemente un amigo con quien no había cruzado caminos. Hizo muchos amigos a lo largo de su vida. Entre ellos, se embarcaron en muchas aventuras creando recuerdos que serán contados durante generaciones. Durante el tiempo que asistió al Instituto Nacional, estudió dibujo gráfico. Al mismo tiempo, conoció a algunos de sus mejores amigos, como Luis del Ponte, Marcelo Chico y Pato Miranda, por nombrar solo algunos.

Hernán era muy talentoso y versátil en muchos aspectos. Se mudó a Campo Grande, Brasil, en 1976 para trabajar con su hermano Vicente en una sorbetería. Luego comenzó a trabajar como limpiador de motores en un barco petrolero que viajaba entre Brasil y Egipto. Posteriormente, regresó a Chile poco tiempo después y en 1982 emigró a los Estados Unidos.

Una vez en los Estados Unidos, conoció al amor de su vida, su bon bon, Gaudencia Morro, en una discoteca y, en verdadera moda de caballero, no perdió tiempo en aparecer en su puerta con flores para asegurarse de sellar el trato con su futura esposa. Ese fue el comienzo de un matrimonio largo y hermoso que duraría 39 años maravillosos. Tuvieron a su único hijo, Christian, a quien ambos amaban y dedicaron toda su energía para brindarle la mejor vida posible. Estaban dispuestos a dar cualquier cosa y sacrificaron todo para asegurar que Christian tuviera las mejores herramientas y recursos para aprovechar al máximo su vida. Hernán inició un nuevo capítulo de grandes amistades en Estados Unidos, entre ellos Alejandro Serrano, Janet y Juan Carlos Aguilera, Chayo Cuba y Lisboa, por nombrar solamente algunos.

Lamentablemente, la vida de Hernán fue truncada por el cáncer. Su esposa lo cuidó con la máxima calidad durante toda su vida, pero aún más durante los últimos años de su enfermedad. Falleció pacíficamente en las primeras horas del lunes 18 de septiembre de 2023, a la edad de 68 años, en su hogar en Saugus, California con su esposa a su lado.

Aunque su cuerpo ya no esté presente, su espíritu, carácter, chistes, pasión y legado siguen vivos a través de las historias que se cuentan. Los consejos que compartió con familiares y amigos y cada rasgo admirable que compartió con otros continuarán desarrollándose en el futuro.
