James was born in Colfax, LA to Arthur and Ruby Bonier on December 12, 1946. He moved to CA in 1965 at the age of 19. He married Ethel Lee Boone on September 30, 1967, in Las Vegas, NV. James was a dedicated hardworking man that held an array of positions throughout his working years with most notable occupations held at Thatcher Glass where he worked for 17 Years. Followed by time at Castaic Junction Towing and Lockheed Martin where he helped work on the B1 Stealth Bomber. He retired in 2008 as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service after 27 years of faithful service. Despite a long battle with ongoing health challenges, James lived a modest and humble life filled with camping trips and helping his wife, daughters, and grandsons with various projects and millwork artistry that can been seen throughout the family home and those of friends and family. He was an avid gardener and every year he could be found spending time in his vegetable garden, or working to restore his ’68 Chevy pickup truck. When James was not building or fixing something for his loved ones, he enjoyed cooking meals and watching his favorite western shows such as Rifle Man, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and anything featuring John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. He was also a big fan of Sanford and Son and was known to quote a line or two!
