

Jane Nilsen, of Moorpark, CA, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 17th at St. John's Memorial Hospital, Camarillo, CA. Jane received the last rites from Father Chris in accordance with her Catholic faith.
Private services will be held with immediate family members on December 28th at Eternal Valley Cemetery, Santa Clarita, CA.
Jane was born in the county of Essex, England to Ann and Joseph Miller on February 2, 1946. Jane traveled by Queen Mary with her mother to join her father in the U.S. after World War II ended. Jane attended Notre Dame Academy in Newport, Kentucky. Jane grew up in Newport until the untimely passing of her mother, Ann in 1960. Jane and Joseph relocated joining Joseph's brother Charles Miller in CA. Jane attended Granada High School in the San Fernando Valley and went on to study art at Valley Community College. She was President of her Sorority, Beta Tau Epsilon. She married Eric Nilsen on January 28, 1967 in Las Vegas, NV. Jane worked as a Student Aid Sr. Accountant for California State University of Northridge for 34 years. Her passions included choir, PTA, various board level sport league positions, room/team mom, baking, reading, sewing and traveling with friends and family. Her proudest moments were her absolute devotion to her children and her grandchildren.
Jane is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Miller and mother Ann Miller.
Jane Nilsen is survived by her spouse Eric Nilsen, son Todd Nilsen and daughter-in-law Kristen Nilsen, daughter Lisa Edlauer and son-in-law Ken Edlauer, daughter Julie Aguilar and son-in-law Michael Aguilar and grandchildren, Kasey Nilsen, Grace Nilsen, Evan Edlauer, Lauren Edlauer and Mia Aguilar. Jane maintained an incredible bond with her extended family in both Kentucky and England, Pauline Cook, Edward and Phil Neal, Roberta, Mary Nick and Tim Terhaar.
The family of Jane Nilsen wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to those trusted with her care; Doctor Dakur, Doctor Patel, Doctor Allen, Nurse Robin, Nurse Karen, Nurse Ann and all those at St. John' Memorial Hospital in Camarillo, Los Robles Hospital, Camarillo Rehabilitation, Moorpark Fire Department and a special thank you to Nurse Chris Plummer.
