Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Eternal Valley of Newhall with Reverend Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Valley mausoleum. Arrangements are by Eternal Valley of Newhall.
Jerry was born in Los Angeles to Wilfred Watterson and Fern Wetzel on September 5, 1933. He went to school at Van Nuys High School and earned the Eagle Scout rank. He married his late wife Shirley Swaton on November 3, 1956 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Reseda. He worked as a draftsman for 25 years at ITT then eventually opened his own business as a commercial painting contractor. It was through his job he would eventually meet his second wife Sybil Easton. They were married on June 12, 2004 at Our Lady of the Assumption in Claremont. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. He had a fascination and passion with flying and as a pilot flew all over Southern California. He was involved in the Board of the Painter’s Union, the Board of the Hope Foundation in Santa Monica, and the PDCA.
Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, twin brother Tom, and daughter Lynda.
Jerry is survived by his wife Sybil, son Jeff and spouse Kathy, son Steve and spouse Sheri, stepson Dax and partner Britt, stepson Ryan and spouse Jennifer, stepson Lance and spouse Vivian. Sister Shirley. Grandchildren Ryan, Janelle, Scott, Shane, Kyle, Jacob, Zachary, Aaden, Atticus, Finn, Zoey, Arynn, and Avery. Great-Grandchildren Kade, Kohen, Kass, Charlotte, Amelia, and Drew.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Watterson, Scott Watterson, Shane Watterson, Kenny Koester, Brett Poulsen, Dax Easton, Lance Easton, and Ryan Easton.
