

Jim was born on January 14,1942, in Culver City, Ca., Los Angeles County, at Mesa rose Maternity Hospital. Born to James Carl MacLean and Florence Wymore MacLean.
Jim was a native Californian. He lived in Hawthorne, attended and graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1959. During his high school years, he played trumpet in the school band and enjoyed marching on the field during halftime at the football games. Jim played his trumpet at Church as part of the worship team.
Jim served his Country in the United Air Force from 1960-1968. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on April 12,1968.
Jim's work history started at Wems Inc. as Material Controller in shipping and receiving. He was an Assistant Manager for Los Angeles Lithograph, where he routed shipments to various points throughout the United States. He began a new career, that took the span of 35 plus years, with Lear Siegler Inc. Astronics Division that later became BAE Systems Aerospace Cooperation. His positions during his career included Purchasing Coordinator, Senior Buyer, Supervisor Mechanical Purchasing, Manager, Electro-Mechanical Purchasing. Jim achieved all requirements in education , personal development and professional responsibilities and he was awarded the designation of Certified Purchasing Manager.
Jim served as a member and deacon at the First Christian Church of Canyon Country for 15 years. He also served the Lord in the distribution of God's word as a member of Gideon International. Jim was a Amateur Radio (Ham) Operator and served as District Communication Officer for the Los Angeles County Disaster Communications for Santa Clarita Valley. Jim was a member of the Santa Clarita Runners Club. Jim was an avid runner and his greatest run was when he completed the 1990 Los Angeles Marathon. Another passion of Jims was his motorcycle, camping and square dancing.
Jim is survived by his wife JoAnn Cracolici MacLean ,Canyon Country, Three Sons, Mike(Kim) Metzler of Glendale Az., Richard MacLean of Phoenix, Az. and Todd(Cari)MacLean od Peculiar Mo. Two Sisters. Donna Marsh of Garden Grove Ca., Jackie White of Cypress Ca., Step daughter Brenda (Joe) Monteleone of Valencia, Ca., Step son Jeff(Alesa) Kitchen of Orange Ca., Eight grandchildren and Eight great grandchildren.
A viewing for Jim will be held on Sunday September 15, 2024 from 10am-2pm at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary 23287 North Sierra Highway Newhall Ca. 91321. Funeral Services 2pm- 3pm. Reception to follow at First Christian Church 27427 Homyr Place Canyon Country 91351. Interment at Eternal Valley Memorial Park on Thursday September 19, 2024 at 10am.
