

John Ellis Morrissey passed away at his home in Newhall, Ca on Monday April 18th, 2011 at the age of 58 after a 3.5 year battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. John was born in Burbank, Ca. on June 7, 1952 to the late Thomas and Margaret Morrissey. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley with his brother Tom (Crystal) and sisters Lorie (Ron) Jones, Karen (Joe) Cowhick and Patty Ryan. John attended community college before transferring to UCLA. He worked in the grocery business before he started his career at LA Paper Box where he worked for 23 years. John is survived by his wife Carol (Randall) of 31 years, his daughter Joan (Keith) Mulvaney and son John. John loved spending time with all of his family including his 12 niece’s and nephew’s, going fishing and playing golf with his buddies and cheering on the LA Dodgers and USC football. John was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held on Tuesday April 26th at 1pm at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in the Chapel of the Hills, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, Ca. followed by a celebration at Tournament Players Club Golf Course in Valencia, 26550 Heritage View Lane, Valencia, Ca. 91381 at 3:30 p.m.
