JUDITH ANN DIDION, a wonderful woman and incredible mother, was born September 27, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Julius & Ann McNabb Rathmann. In high school she met the love of her life, Harry Didion, to whom she was married 45 years. Judy was the consumate homemaker. Her home was always bright, organized, and freshly decorated surrounded by a yard full of roses and other flowers. Judy's home was fill with lots of good cooking smells, laughter, and music. She would state, "Love is what makes you go that extra mile for the family."
Harry wrote: "As a husband you don't want to see your wife sick. Days were filled with sad news and frustrations. She fought in ICU for 32 days. What courage. My son called her the "trooper." When the drugs stopped working, the disease overtook her. I thought I was a strong man, but I was helpless. Her doctor said to me, "Don't blame yourself for what you cannot control.' Few people today are married to one person until the day they die. We were married for 45 years. I depended on her for many things. She always came through. We had many cherished memories. Looking back now that she has passed...WHAT A LUCKY MAN I WAS!"
Judith is survived by her husband, Harry, and her two sons, Scott and Mark Didion. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers you may send a donation to the Wounded Warriors Project. Arrangements under the direction of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, Newhall, CA.
