Mary Urner Campbell

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 1st from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall in the Chapel of the Oaks.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Oaks at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall with Pastor Darren Pollock, from the Panorama Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow the service. Arrangements are made by Eternal Valley Memorial Park.

Mary was born on April 17, 1928 in Bakersfield, California to Dr. Samuel Everett Urner and Margaret Tulley Urner. She married Warren Martin Campbell on August 17, 1947 in Pasadena, California. Mary graduated from Stanford University with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She later became an early childhood educator and established The Magic Years Nursery School in 1965. She owned, directed, and taught there for more than fifty years.

Mary is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Lynn Christine Campbell and her brothers William, Robert, Mark, and John. Mary is survived by her husband, Warren Campbell, her daughters, Jill Catherine Campbell and Alice Campbell Leon, her son-in-law Raul Leon, and her grandsons, Samuel Leon and Forrester Hammer.

Memorial donations may be given to Campaign One at a Time, Read to Grow, MEND, or the Diaper Bank of Connecticut.
