Nicki Jean Farrand

She was born June 2, 1943, in Denver to Frederick and Mildred Kemble. Fred and Millie soon moved the family to North Hollywood where Nicki was raised with her brother and sister.

Nicki was a very talented child star and was featured on the Sandy’s Hayride show on KTTV. Nicki graduated from Hollywood High School in 1961 and soon after met Jay Farrand. They were married in 1963.

She and Jay moved to Burbank with their 3 children, David, Matthew and Cameron. Nicki was an incredible mother who dedicated her entire life to raising and providing for her children.

Nicki was a proud employee of the City of Burbank and worked in the Public Service and Water and Power departments. She retired from the city in June, 2000 after 23 years of dedicated service.

She loved spending her time with her sons, daughters in law and 3 grandchildren. She also enjoyed hanging out with her friends, going to craft shows, traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and painting.

Nicki is survived by her 2 sons, Matthew Farrand and his fiancé, Kim Birch, Cameron Farrand and his wife, Sharon; 3 grandchildren, David and Matthew and their mother, Sara Achtmann, Kathleen and her mother Erin Vanover.

Nicki was preceded in death by her son, David Jay Farrand; her parents; sister, Margie Berdrow; and brother, Fred Kemble.
