You have such a sweet heart and smile, one that will be missed dearly. From watching Mr Bean quietly beside you to you stealing pieces of my breakfast; they're all short, sweet memories of ours that I will always hold close to my heart. This is Elaine Suyat,  I am posting this message from my mother, Pat Tabernilla… Hi, Elaine. Dear Pat Bernal, my family and I have loss a long ,closed ,kind  ,humble, and has a sense of humor friend ,almost considered half brother of Carding. I ve met you on your happiest day of your life ,your wedding day in January ,1970 . And on July ,1970 when Carding and I got married ,we made a promised that if we have a son and you have  a daughter ,we would like them to marry to each other…Although,it didn’t materialize ,we still have an open line of communication with each other.we come to see you on fiesta, birthdays, etc we’ve been surprised you on your 70 th birthday thru the help of Mari Chel and had great dinner at Mang Inasal. You and Carding are so closed that whenever we are in the Philippines 🇵🇭,we dropped by your place ,.unfortunately,Carding left me in August 2015, you and Flor came to visit on his wake two times,and now ,I’m here in the RP but You are in California, I m 😞 not seeing on your wake ,my dear bro, Pat…just hug Carding for me whenever you see him in heaven..Rest in Peace, dear friend…. 🙏🙏🙏

Dear Tito Pat, 
              I can’t find the right words to say. It saddens me to hear of your passing.  My childhood days was enriched by your thoughtful guidance.  I always thought of you as a Father growing up, your guidance and wisdom  have helped me become the man I am today. I will always remember the memories you brought to my childhood. You will be truly missed. Thank you for your generosity, for helping me out through those difficult times. There are so many things I wish I could say to you right now, but I know saying goodbye is hard enough. Thank you  for being  such a great influence in my life. I will never forget that.  I hope that you know how thankful I am for all the care and love that you gave me.  You had a good run Tito. You lived a good life.  We will see each other again in the next life. You will be truly missed.

Dear Tita Flor, Neriza, Maricel, Jenny and families.
     Our family sends you our deepest condolences on the passing of Tito Pat.  Though I did not get a chance to know him so well, I will always remember his kindness and quiet nature.  Out of the three siblings, I always saw him as the twin to my dad.  
     The last time I saw Tito Pat was during my visit to Manila back in Feb 2017.  We even celebrated his birthday with the rest of the cousins.  He was so happy to be in the company of family. I will never forget that special memory of him.  
     Since living in California with Neri's family, seeing so many of photos just showed how much he was loved...and all the efforts taken by everyone to let him live life to the fullest.  May all these beautiful moments be a reflection of your love for this wonderful man.  Goodbye to Tito Pat.  You missed be missed. Watch over your family in the years ahead.

Tito Patricio "Pat" Bernal touched so many lives in the best way. I will remember him as the perfect gentleman, kind, and warm. He is the original MR. POGI of the clan. Along with Tito Andy (+), Tito Joe (+) and my dad, Conrado (+).  I'm grateful I got the chance to know him. He maybe gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Wishing strength, 
peace, and comfort to tita FLOR, Ate Neri (kuya Aries), Ate Jenny (kuya Noel), and Ate Maricel (kuya Jason), Tita TESSIE, Krypton, Ally, Jennelle, Tricia, Zoe, Luke, Gabby, and to the whole BERNAL clan in this difficult time.

My lolo,

I can't seem to find the right words to describe you. You are more than the best and I know that the others would agree when I say that one of the best memories and experience we could ever have is to be loved by you. It will be hard to move forward from this day on, but we will draw strength from everything that you have taught us, for every memory that we shared with you, and for all the love you have given us. I will forever remember how you were the first person to believe in me and told me that I'm a great singer, how you always waited patiently for my classes to end so you could treat me to Jollibee, how even after having a rough day in business, you would still give all the money you have left just so I can have a good lunch at school. I will forever miss your jokes, your hugs, your "kakulitan" -- you were more than just a grandfather to me. You were my bestfriend, my life mentor, and my father. It was because of your love that I never felt like something was missing in my life even after my father left and died. I am truly grateful to have witnessed the way you loved Lola, you have set the standard of how a partner and a father should be - patient, selfless, supportive, fun, and many more.  As you go along your journey to finally reunite with Lolo Timoteo and Lola Ildefonsa, may you continue to guide us and may we be able to experience once again being loved by people like you especially for my cousins and I, may we meet partners who are patient, loving, and as hardworking as you are. Thank you lolo because even until your last breath, we saw how you fought to live for us, and for Lola. Rest easy now, Lolo. On days that we miss you and on the days that life may be tough, please comfort us with your embrace. We love you.
