Pat was born in Inglewood, California. He graduated from El Camino Real High in Woodland Hills in 1973. He then attended TSTI Art school in Waco, Texas. He was an amazing artist. Pat always worked hard at everything he did and was proud of his 30 years at Shield Health Care, he was looking forward to retiring soon.
In 1977 Pat met the love of his life. They made a home together with two amazing children full of love and many fun memories. Pat’s family, including his dog Shiloh, meant everything to him. They got together often with fun family game nights and laughs. Pat looked forward to yearly football season and his fantasy football league, and took great pride in his “oh so many collectables” including all his sports memorabilia. He was a Johnny Cash fan and had a great love for movies, Alfred Hitchcock and James Bond (which he often called himself) to name a few. Pat always looked forward to family trips to Disneyland and Universal Studios, he had a childlike adventurous soul, a peaceful nature, with a fun spirt. Pat was a jokester, always insisted on telling his cheesy jokes, you could not help but to laugh, although, when it was time to be serious there was no joking. Alongside his humor he spoke character-building wisdom into our lives at key moments. Pat enjoyed riding his bike in the open breeze of Ventura and always loved a great round of golf. He was an easy-going personality and would also look forward to a lazy day of video games and a cigar.
He was proud of his Church and loved being part of them.
In the very sad end of his days, Pat was so courageous he fought hard and led his heart with love. Never once did he mention the “things” he would leave behind or miss. He spoke of his family and his understanding that life is but ‘a minute’ and Eternity is what matters. His desire for his family to seek God stood out and the peace and grace he carried to the end of his life was more admirable than anything he had ever done. He Knew his God was there for him, no matter what it looked like and he knew he was going to be much better as he surrendered unto him.
Pat is survived by his Loving wife Anne Marie, son Nick and daughter Danielle. His two brothers Bob and Mike (Pam) and sister Mendy (Jeff), numerous nieces and nephews and many more who loved him dearly. We will all be thankful for the years and memories each of us had with Pat and he made our lives better by being in them. We will miss his beautiful blue eyes smiling back at us. Pat was truly a gift to all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Wade Leverett Jones and Mother, Texas Jones
