Sure miss my favorite Brother in Law,  Uncle Pat.

Uncle Pat, you will never be forgotten. We miss your smiling face and  good times going to Universal Studios and the family get togethers. But we will meet up again one day so until then rest easy.  Uncle Mark.

Work is not the same without you. I miss seeing you and joking with you as we always did. Your were truly one of a kind. My prayers are to give continued strength to your wife and entire family. Your Brother always

I first met Pat when my friend, Anne Marie, his wife, visited my church, The Vineyard. 
The four of us immediately hit it off as friends. 
Soon, they joined us in serving the Lord at our church, joining us in Vineyard Voyage classes, where we served dinners, and then, in Monday Night Manna, where we joined others in serving the community.
They say if you want to get to know people, start serving the Lord with them.
We had so much fun, laughing well into the nights, after the events were over.
I am so happy to have known a person like Pat, who loved God & loved people.  I consider myself blessed, and, I know he's with Jesus where we will see him again one day.

Just thinking about how i will never see my brother in law again, makes me very sad. His little jabs and his sense of humor are going to be a large void in my world.  Uncle Pat was the best and i will miss him deeply.  To think that he will never open our front door again, or sit out front on the porch and just talk with us, will be very, very, heartbreaking.  It's hard to  realize the good times we had together and how fast they are taken away. I will never forget Uncle Pat and the good that he brought in to this world. Some times life is not fair when someone we love is taken away from us but hopefully he is in a better place and God is looking over him.  Miss you Uncle Pat. 

Pat and I met in the warehouse at Shield Healthcare, back in 2003. Pat would check all of the orders that me and fellow coworkers would pull. I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by him, as he would scream at employees that made errors. I would hear Pat go off on the employees and I remember thinking to myself, you better not make any mistakes! Pat was much taller most guys in the warehouse and I can remember seeing him and his cold blue eyes staring down on guys as he'd yell about  their mistakes. It didn't take long before he'd get on my case too, but afterwards he'd always have a big grin on his face. I quickly learned that Pat had a great sense of humor. 

Over time, he and I became good friends and got to know eachother well. We'd share life stories and he'd give me great advice. We cracked jokes and pranked eachother and we liked a lot of the same things, like football, poker, Chevy Chase Vacation movies, Rodney Dangerfield and Johnny Cash.

 Although, we only worked together for a couple of years, we knew that we'd be life long friends. In 2005, I told Pat that I received job offer and that I was nervous about leaving my job at Shield. I joked with him about holding my position for me, in case things didn't work out for me at the new job. He told me that he believed in me and he knew I would succeed. I was so close to turning down the job, but it was his encouragement that convinced me to take the offer. 

We kept in touch over the years. The last time that Pat and I seen eachother was when my son was born in 2015. Pat came all the way out to the hospital in Simi Valley just to meet him. What a guy! 

Pat loved Anne Marie and his kids dearly. He would keep me updated on how his family was doing. He would always tell me that he was so proud of Nick and Danielle for all of their accomplishments.

Pat has now gained his angel wings. And I believe  that we have gained a guardian angel. I will truly miss him.

Rest Easy my Brother Pat

Hey uncle Pat,

Just wanted to say that I love you.
and also, thank you for sharing your passion for football with me when I was a kid. That sport shaped my life in more ways than I can say and I always remember being so excited to tell you all about it. 

I smothered my room in Cowboys stuff and I prided over my signed balls and jerseys that we went to get from the team, even though I had no idea who half the guys were other than what you’d tell me. You gave me a special Emmitt Smith card ,who had become my idol because of you, and I snipped the bottom of it so it would fit in a plastic frame of mine hahahah. (Wasn’t to happy to share that one with you once I realised what I’ve done. ) I’ll never forget those passions that shaped my childhood though.

When my mom told me you’d had a real big life change with God I was super happy. I remember you saying when I was home a couple years ago that you didn’t want to have to change who you were (your love for sports and collection hobbies etc) because of your new faith.. and I can only laugh cause I can picture Jesus welcoming you with an epic set up of James Bond collections and little football helmets resembling all the Super Bowls , just to make you feel at home.

Anyway, you’re a true Hall of Fame’r to me. And I only know you as my uncle, but from the way everyone talks about you, it seems you were a hell of a Dad, brother, friend and husband as well. Have fun up there I love you uncle pat.

Ps. I never knew you had such a cool middle name.

We don’t..  we just relish in the sheer joy of having had you in our lives all these years.  Loving you, enjoying every minute of being with you..  admiring the great husband, father and person you are, the nephew that expressed so much gratitude for the least bit of kindness given you..   there is no other that can compare  to your humble existence.  God Bless all your earthly deeds and reward you abundantly.  We love you Pat...  you will be with us, always.  God Rest your soul.   May He bring us together again in Eternity.

I met Pat at shield healthcare we’re we work . I know him for 16 years and work close with him for two years. We always kid around each other everyday at work. We talk about Disneyland and universal studio all the time. I call myself Mr Disney so would Pat so we give each other quiz see if who get the right answer. Too this days I’m going to miss that having conversation with him. I don’t call him my CO worker I call him my good friend. He all ways asked me I’m i the nicest guy in you ever met I told him no LOL. He and I is a big disney fan he show me his disney collection of figurerin very cool . Now he could talk to Walt Disney in heaven and have a great conversation with him. Rest in pleace my friend.

PAT was my little brother. He would follow me everywhere.mom asked him if I jumped off a cliff would he follow. He said yes, then looked a little confused. We would play games, any game, all we could find. We did everything togther. Even sleep. We played ball,baseball,football basketball kick the can,mumblely peg. Went to world sieres in 63. To the beach, and when we became teens we had a lot of the same friends. Pat and I were very different . We both thought the other one was living our nightmare. We disagreed on many things, but when we were togther, or even talking we were like joined at the hip. I miss him so. I could write all night but I won't. Thanks to all who loved him😿

Pat Jones was my carpool buddy. I rode with him for 5 years up until he was hospitalized. There was never a day where Pat wouldn't make us laugh. I would be 2 minutes late to the park and ride where we would meet to hop in each other's cars and I would be getting a phone call. "You think this is a joke?!!!!" or "I'm leaving in 15 seconds!" I would have endless amounts of voicemails of Pat screaming at me for making him wait 2 minutes. It was the funniest part of the day. Then he would hop in my car or I in his truck and after leaving a screaming voicemail he would ask "Am I the nicest guy you ever met?" He wasn't just funny he was smart and had a lot of wisdom. Me being younger, he was like a grandfather figure to me. He would always tell me the mistakes he's made and regrets he had in life to motivate me to do better. Before he passed, we made a bet that I would own a house before May of this year. Loser buys a steak dinner. You better find a way to buy me a steak old friend! And by the way Pat, you were the nicest guy I've ever met! Rest Easy Old Friend! - Andrew

My sweet precious brother-in-law, you were more like a brother to me than in law.  I am going to miss you so very much!  What comes to mind often is when we used to go to theme parks with our families, Uncle Pat had to be the first thru the gate when they opened! He would raise his arms up and say “the first” with a smile from ear to ear. I can still hear him saying “that’s so cool” when I would give him TV channels. I looked forward every year to getting you a Disney ornament, you were so appreciative and thanked me for a month.  I will miss that so much.  We were last together in October, for a sister’s over night at your house, you let everyone know you were my Cabaña boy, not theirs, as they would try and boss you around. We had so much fun playing ping pong and board games that day. Family gatherings will never be the same. Your last text to me was “I love you Char”. These and many, many more memories will always be close to my heart.  Your legacy of wisdom, integrity and courage will go on forever.  I love you Uncle Pat, your favorite sis in law

My brother in law. Uncle Pat as i always called him, and he called me Uncle Mark.  He always had little digs for me, either about my hair turning grey or only having one bathroom and he had two or how short i was. This picture is a perfect example. I said hey Uncle Pat, how about giving me a hand changing my oil? His reply,,,,,,,,, "what are you crazy Uncle Mark? I'm not getting my hands dirty. Plus Am would kick my butt. And i said to him,,,,,,,so Am wears the pants in the family? And he would hang his head down and chuckle and say,,,,,,,well ya". I will miss his laugh and dry sense of humor and his all around good nature. He was not only my brother in law,,,,but he was also a good friend. Thank you Uncle Pat for being part of my life, and maybe one day we can share a bench in Heaven. Uncle Mark.

I was blessed to have been aqainted with  such a great man, often from afar.. and just a little bit, over many years.
But that little bit, always left joy in my heart. The loving impact Pat made on Mendy, said so much about who he was.
  Men like Pat are rare. His parents would have been so proud!
 This world, truly a better place for knowing one as Rare as him.

Not having mom or dad I think we (Bob, Mike you and I) grew deeper because we needed each other. However our faith in God and our conversations of Him have drawn you and I so very close these past years and in your last days with us your solidness of peace and confidence of going “truly home” to heaven and to “your heavenly Father” has spoken to me in ways that only the wisest of big brothers ever could have.
     Thank you Pat for being so real.  For taking care of me all these years in ways I didn't even realize until you were gone. You were my gift in life, I will miss you deeply.  But as I said as I walked out your hospital door” I'll see you soon”. LIfe is a minute, Eternity is forever,

      I cant get my mind off you so I thought I'd write you a letter. I miss you in a million ways. You were not only the big brother I looked up to all my life but had become my BFF (as you had text in one of your last texts to me). We understood each other,  we believed together, and we trusted one another.  I miss hearing” Hey Sis,”  I miss your voice , I miss your funny way that made everyone love you, I miss you caring for me and my family, I miss all your dreams and memories of the adventures together and those ahead, but most of all I miss your heart. You loved deeply, You lived life with so much passion. You simply made life fun. You never knew the impact you made on so many people. Because you were just PAT. You were True, faithful, honest, strong, passionate, loving, funny, oh so funny, always having the quick witted comment at the right time and you were so much more. No, you weren't perfect, My first memories are of you torturing Mike and I in many different ways and how we had to call you King in order to get things from you. How you would pick me up from places but to get in the car I would have to chase you down the street after you would pretend to let me in multiple times. But oh how I looked up to you and Bob. As I was a young girl and you were in high school , when I was walking to school and I would see other high school kids I would ask them “Do you know Bob or Pat Jones.?“ Thinking you were the coolest ever. Even with all your kidding, you were always there for me and as we grew in life together with our families we made an effort to be there for eachother through all the different events and holidays, you loved my family as I loved yours. Your love for Anne, Nick and Danielle spoke words of honor and devotion to me. You listened with your wise words when my heart was breaking, You would call me out on my stupid things I did, Yet always assuring me things would be ok. I have known Pat for several years. It was a true blessing to have shared the friendship we had. I have so many memories of what we shared and the talks sometimes engaging, others were just for sake of talking. We liked golfing not that we were any good we just liked the outdoors. The times going to football games, Dallas Cowboys training camp just to mention a few. Going to driving range on the weekends then go into work sore the next day. What I most miss is the carpool which would make the commute to and from work a little more bearable he would just start a conversation for the sake of bantering whether it being who was greatest Quarterback, best football team ever, best TV show at the time. How the dodgers were expected to win because of the highest paid salary (he loved to argue) best way to get to work because of traffic delays without a smart phone. And who was the nicest guy in the carpool which as usually him by his account. On serious note he was genuine who loved spending time with his family. Pat was a person of integrity, humility, generosity, and sense of humor that will be missed.  Till we meet again my friend.

No words can describe the loss of life especially when it’s someone so amazing. Pat always treated me with respect when I would come over and welcome me in his home. My condolences to family as I know he put family first. Pat introduced Nick n I to fantasy football as teenagers which we still play on a yearly basis till this day. Pat would spend time with Nick n I playing video games when I would stay the night. We would trash talk about who was the best and the competitive spirit Pat installed in us will never be forgotten. You will always be missed Sir. Thank you for the memories. 

My sincere condolences go to Pat’s family & friends. He was a fun guy with a heart of gold. He will be truly missed. May he Rest In Peace forever,  knowing how much his family loved him.💜

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Pat for 11 years. I would LOVE talking and joking around with Pat. There wasn’t a day that went by that we wouldn’t banter back & forth with each other. Pat could have a dry & very funny sense of humor whenever he would joke with or about me. I remember after my 1st year of working at Shield Pat came up to me with a serious look on his face & told me that he had heard that thing’s weren’t working out for me & that no one in the warehouse liked me. I just looked at him and couldn’t help but start laughing & he just chuckled and told me “ no offense “.  We would also talk about GOD at times and his man cave of collectibles and of course his James Bond movies. Pat was such an expert on James Bond there was no way of stumping him with questions about James Bond. When Shield laid me off Pat was the first person who called me & told me how he felt that it was wrong to have laid me off. I’ll never forget that, and after that Pat and I would keep in touch via text message or phone conversations. Pat knew that there were some weekends that I would come & take care of my mom, Pat would invite me to his home but it never worked out and now this regret will always stay with me. Pat left an impression on my life, he was one of those guys that I could count on one hand that I will not ever forget, like a family member.
Pat I can’t wait to see you in Heaven so we can continue our banter.

Pat was a great father n law. Loving ,kind and humorous. He treated me like family from the start. I was blessed to be part of such a loving, wonderful family. I will miss him always and always think of him. ❤️
