Avid Yankee fan and lover of Hamburger and cigars, Ray’s life didn’t come to an end with his death. Ray passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ray. His legacy will continue thru the friends and family who lives he touched. They continue to honor him by living their lives to the fullest.
Ray graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with an Associate in Science degree in Data Processing Technology. Yes….that’s what it was officially called back in his day. When he moved to California in the late 70’s he began working at Prudential Insurance as a Data Processor, later he entered the Sheriffs Academy and decided a law enforcement career was not for him and finally landed at Mole-Richardson for over 35 years, until his retirement in May 2020. He was married once for over 43 years, was never blessed with children however he was blessed in so many other ways. Ray lived a life he enjoyed, took pleasure in the simple things and although shy, could always find someone to talk to, young or old. Ray loved traveling to baseball parks all across the United States and Canada to watch his Yankees play in cities never visited before along with exploring the gravesites of celebrities.
Ray is survived by his spouse, Andrea and Sister Shirley as well as many blood nieces and nephews since Ray was the youngest of 9 children and those who are not blood but called him Uncle Ray-Ray.
