
No drama here, Intelligent, engaging and kind.. he lived his life with integrity and had respect for all. He was a passionate story teller especially aircraft stories of when he was an aerospace flight test engineer at Edwards air force base when the early test pilots were testing the planes he built.. Rudy/Boone, always had a fascination with planes, he also loved driving.
Every year for vacation Rudy would drive his family with a boat to Lake Tahoe where he taught his family how to drive a boat, waterski and fish.. He also would drive to his mothers house often spending holidays enjoying Thelma's Pies and great cooking...
Rudy as a young man attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, Mo. While he was attending college, he met the love of his life, Ann who he was married to for 65 years until his death.
He was drafted into tha army and became a Corporal..served his country well. Boone then became an aerospace engineer.
In his retirement Rudy and Ann would become collectors and would drive to many swap meets and antique stores finding many jewels of happiness for which he would sell and trade his treasures with friends and family all over the country.
He, like his father, carved and built many beautiful wooden models, airplanes and antique treasures.. so good with his hands and very knowledgable about engines and mechanics.. he taught his sons how to do a tune up on the car or get the lawn mower running to mow the lawn.. molding the artists and teachers in his family to come. He was a great man, a Mans man.. he is well loved and will never be forgotten.. he also loved animals, having cared for and loved many wonderful dogs and pets in his brilliant life!
Recently when he was asked if he would have changed anything in his life, he firmly said "Not a thing."
His death came without pain. He simply ran out of steam on Satuday evening, October 18.. He died at home in Valencia Ca. in his sleep with his wife of 65 years beside him... he was 86 years young.. He is survived by his beloved wife Ann, sons Steve, Douglas and David, daughter Lauri, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, their families and inlaws. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his daughter Debi. Services will be held at Eternal Valley, November 3 rd at 2:00. with Pastor Bill Haley as the officiante..
