Russell Thomas Hoglund, age 78, died peacefully after a brief illness in Valencia, California. Russ was born April 19, 1943 in New York to Walter and Annette Hoglund. He married the love of his life, Sharon McGovern in 1965. Russ was a vibrant man who started his career as a NYPD officer until 1980 when he and his family moved to CA. Russ then spent the next 20 years in the motion picture industry. Russ was an avid golfer and poker player, and enjoyed doing word puzzles everyday. Russ is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sister Barbara D'Addario, his two children, his son Russell, and daughter Staci(Tony) Valentino; three grandchildren, Gavin, Austin, Darin.
A funeral service for Russell will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A Celebration of Life will be held following the memorial at the family residence. Please contact a family member for more information.
