Blanche Bernadette Sayer

Born Nov. 1, 1935, in York County, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Victor Berube and Marie Perreault Berube. She was a member at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Newton. She was an avid reader and turned her passion into a career, at Lemstone Books Bookstore, where she was the former owner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ricky D. Barker.

Blanche is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Leonard George Sayer, of the home; daughter, Cherylann S. Barker, of Newton; and grandchildren, Jessica Ann Bufford and husband, Joshua, of Richmond, Va.; Justin Adam Fulbright, of Rock Hill, S.C.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Newton where Father James Collins will officiate.

The Family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
