

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 28th at Beth Eden Lutheran Church, 400 N. Main Avenue, in Newton. Following the service, the family will greet friends and serve lunch in the fellowship hall.
A native of Lincolnton, NC, Charles was the son of the late Theodore Floyd Corriher and Ella Mae Rhodes Corriher. He was a graduate of The Citadel and served in World War II as a Captain in the Army. He later opened Corriher Implement Company, which was an institution in Newton for over sixty years.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lillian Horsley Corriher.
Family who will cherish the memory of his many kind deeds, love, and quick wit include his brother, Ted Corriher of Dallas, NC; daughter, Anne Rodman and husband, Bob of Greensboro; daughter, Cindy Wood and her fiancé, Bobby Shifflett of Newton; sons, Charles Corriher, Jr. of Hickory, Ted Corriher of Newton; grandchildren, Randall Rodman, Bradley Rodman and wife, Rebecca, Mark Wood, Anne Wood, Jennifer Corriher, Amanda Ingle and husband, Josh, Carla Corriher, and Charles Edward Corriher; great-grandchildren, Preston Hardgrove, Austin Ingle, Carson Ingle, Addison Corriher, Mason Corriher; and his special friend, Jane Moore.
